How to use it?


  • ½ teaspoon salt 
  • 1/4th teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 100 ml of water, warm

Firstly, warm 100 ml water in a pan. Then pour it into a glass and add salt & turmeric to it. Now, mix it well and gargle in the backside of your throat. Spit it out once you are done with gargling. For quick relief, repeat this 3 to 4 times a day.

2. Herbal paste:

Make a herbal paste of tulsi (basil leaf), ginger, black pepper, and honey. Lick this paste 4-5 times a day. All these ingredients act wonderfully to fight throat infections. Its regular use can help you ease the throat pain and get rid of sore throat.

How to make it?

  • 7-8 Tulsi (basil leaf) 
  • 7-8 black pepper 
  • 2 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoon honey

Take tulsi & black pepper in a mortar & pestle and pound them well. Add grated ginger and honey to it and give it a good mix. Lastly, store it in a small container and keep licking it 4-5 times a day. 

3. Drink only warm water:

When you are suffering from a sore throat, warm water works best for you. Drinking water soothes the throat and reduces irritation in that area. Here it does not mean to gulp liters of water, but it implies drinking warm water whenever you are thirsty and avoiding cold or room temperature water. 

What not to do to cure a sore throat?

  • Avoid cold water, cold food, or any other cold items. 
  • Do not consume curd at night.
  • Avoid spicy, fried, heavy, and oily food items.
