Back pain can occur due to various reasons like bad sitting posture, sleeping in the wrong position, prolonged sitting, etc. The best way to get rid of back pain is to improve your sitting posture and support your spine with yoga asanas.
One of the best yoga asana for the spine is Chakrasana, aka Wheel pose.
It is a backward bending posture. This asana is called a wheel pose because the body takes a wheel-like semi-circular posture.
Yoga helps to strengthen the mind and body. So, to get rid of all your mental and physical ailments, you should practice them every day. Practicing Chakrasana regularly helps to strengthen the spine, tone the abdomen, thighs, and relieve stress.
How to practice Chakrasana?
Firstly, lie down on your back. Now, bend your knees and keep your feet flat on the floor. Keep your feet close to your body and apart from each other. Then place your hands on the floor above your shoulders.
Inhale and press your hands and lift your upper body from the yoga mat. While doing this, press your feet into the floor. Then inhale and lift your hips. Finally, your spine will look in a semi-circular pose. Keep breathing in this position, let your head hang, and do not try to strain your neck.
Hold this pose for at least 15 to 30 seconds, and then come back to the lying position by first bending your arms and legs and then slowly bringing your spine back to the ground.
