Many people have a habit of starting their day with tea or coffee. It might give them a sense of satisfaction, but it is not suitable for your health. Instead, drinking water first in the morning is a healthy habit to avoid many ailments. 

According to Ayurveda, drinking water early in the morning is known as Ushapaan. It acts as a natural detoxifier, provides hydration, refreshes the body, boosts digestion, and helps clear bowels regularly.

Drinking tea or coffee empty stomach increases the acid in your stomach and leads to heartburn. It also dehydrates the body as it works as a diuretic and hampers the digestive system. As a result, it increases toxins inside the body.

On the other hand, drinking boiled warm water in the morning helps to increase digestive strength. Boiled water gains a quality of penetrating deep into the channels of the body. This quality is known as “Sukshma” in Ayurveda. Due to this, it stimulates digestion power and improves overall health.

After drinking warm water in the morning, you can drink water boiled with some herbs and spices to make it more suitable for you according to your body type.

Drinking water according to your body type, especially when your dominant dosha is out of balance, helps eliminate imbalanced symptoms.

Here are the three herbal drinks that you should try:

Vata pacifying water

Firstly, boil carom, cumin seeds, fennel (half teaspoon of each) in a glass of water for 5 to 10 minutes over a medium flame. Lastly, strain and drink it hot.

When to use it?

Drink this water if you feel constipated, gas, bloating, etc. You can drink it for a continuous one week and observe the reduction of your symptoms.

Pitta pacifying water

Firstly, extract around one tablespoon gel out of aloe vera leaf. Blend it well with a glass of water. Finally, drink it in the morning before breakfast.

Drink this water if you are suffering from acidity, heartburn, burning sensation in the body.

Kapha pacifying water

Firstly, boil 3-4 basil leaves, two fresh slices of ginger, and carom seeds in a glass of water on a medium flame for 5 minutes. Lastly, strain and drink it hot.

Drink this warm water if you feel heaviness in the body, weak digestion, or low energy.
