Raw juice aggravates Vata Dosha
As per Ayurveda, raw food can be cold, dry, light, rough by nature. These properties aggravate the Vata dosha inside our bodies. As a result, a person can get constipation, dry skin, bloating, etc.
Who should avoid drinking raw juice every day?
A person who has weak digestion will get affected the most. Raw food is hard to digest as compared to cooked form and puts a strain on digestion. Above all, it is basically how good your digestion is! It is not suitable for a person who often suffers from constipation, gas, or bloating.
Mainly, a person with Vata & Kapha Prakriti (body type) cannot easily digest raw and cold food items and may have harmful effects like constipation, indigestion, bloating, etc.
On the other hand, a person with Pitta Prakriti can digest raw food (if taken in moderation) better than the Vata or Kapha person.
Weight Loss & Juice Fast:
- Depending only on raw fruit juice for weight loss or any other reason can lead to hair loss, raised blood sugar levels, weakness, joint pain, constipation, bloating, gas, etc.
- Also, drinking only raw juice in a day can spike blood sugar levels, causing hyperglycemia (too much blood sugar levels).
Can I never drink raw juice?
You can drink raw fruit juice (preferable with fiber) once in a while during hot weather if your digestion is strong.
